Gender Ultrasound Results!

Well we had our anatomy ultrasound yesterday and found out our sweet bundle of joy is a BOY! We have already chosen a name, Gavin Conrad DeManicor. My little g-man! He so did not like the ultrasound tech pushing all over Mommy's tummy! He would not cooperate for the longest time! She was able to show us he has healthy kidney's, brain, lips, jaw, legs, fingers and toes! We do have to go back for a second ultrasound in two weeks because little man wouldn't let her see all of his spine or heart. From what he let us see the heart and spine look good but she wants us to come back just to double check and be on the safe side. She also said it didn't look like there would be any issues with down syndrome either. Yay! We both can not wait to meet our sweet Gavin!

On another note I have been feeling great! I have a lot more energy than I have in a long time! We were even able to go hiking at Sabino Canyon a few weekends ago. I do have horrible heartburn everyday nearly all day, but I just carry my tums with me wherever I go! My belly is growing fast and I will soon have a picture to put up on here for you all to see.
Last weekend we moved out of our apartment and into our new home! We are pretty much all unpacked and the nursery is waiting for us to get it all set up. I'll put some pictures of that up as well once we have them.

House!

Alright so this one isn't really all that much baby related but I just wanted to share with everyone. On March 15th we get the keys to a new home for us to rent, a house! It is small but very cute and perfect for us. It has a huge yard with plenty of room for a garden i want to grow and even an above ground pool! Chris promised to get me one! Yay! The house is old, it was built by the owners father and grandfather when they first moved to Arizona. The last tenant to live there recently moved out to live with her daughter because she is 92 yrs old! She raised 4 children and took care of her disabled husband in the house for 40 years! What a strong woman. I will post more pictures as we move in.

March 24th! Can't Wait!

Ok everyone so on March 24th we are going to be having an ultrasound done to try to find out the sex of the baby! Chris and I are really hoping for a girl, but we will be just as happy with a boy! So if you want to vote on what you think it will be make it quick! You won't be able to much longer! We will keep you all updated!

Ultrasound!

Well we had our first ultrasound today! It was done so they could determine how far along I am. I am 8 weeks and 2 days! They ran out of thermal paper so i wasn't able to get a printed picture but we did have our phone and took pictures and a sound clip of the baby's heartbeat! The video doesnt show much I put it on here mainly for the sound. The baby is about 2 inches right now. My next apt. at the Birth Center is on Feb. 4th. So until then I probably wont have much more news. We are so very excited and happy!

New to all of this!

I started this blog because my brother and sister in law (Jeremy and Holly)made one when they found out they were pregnant with Baby Lukas. I thought it was such a great way to stay in touch with family and friends far away! Hopefully this way Chris and I can keep you all up to date with whats going on in our lives and our pregnancy.

As many of you know, Chris and I had planned on having a wedding in November. Since we found out i was pregnant we decided to do it a bit earlier! So next week, January 15th at 5pm we will be saying "I do" at the court house in Downtown Tucson. From there my Mom and Step Father (Sonia and Danny) have set up to have our reception at their home. It is all going to be so wonderful, We are so very lucky and thankful!

As of right now we do not know exactly how far along I am. My last few periods were very different for me, so until we have the ultrasound done in a week or two I'm going to say I'm 8 weeks. Whoever named it morning sickness is out of their mind! They should have called it 24/7 sickness! That's how it is for me at least, nauseous at all times. Hopefully mine reduces some after the 14th week or so!
We are planning to have the baby at the Tucson Birth Center. It is an amazing place! Everything there makes you feel at home. The birthing rooms are the best! Each one has a nice big wooden bed, a rocker, a birthing tub and private restroom. I love it! Chris and I saw one of the midwives for the first time yesterday. Let me tell you, they are so wonderful there! They really make you feel at home and at ease. They were able to answer every question I had. The midwife said that since we aren't sure exactly how far along I am that she believes i am between 8-16 weeks. I know, that's a huge gap! Soon we will have a more clear answer. We even think we may have been able to hear a faint little heartbeat from the baby!
Hopefully next time I'll have an ultrasound picture of even a video for all of you to see!
